This marks the nine year anniversary of a dear friends death, far too young. Jeff Reed was a pioneer, an artist, a free-thinker, a ripper, a great cook and one of my best and most influential friends. He passed away tonight, nine years ago from complications of malignant melanoma. He was only 26 years old and, before struck by cancer, was in the prime of his life. I am thankful to have know him, to have traveled with him, and to have been heavily influenced by him. His memory and spirit is still alive in myself, and the friends I know who know and loved him, and definitely by his younger brother who continues to blaze his own path through life- as he sees it, and by his loving and very cool parents and family. You will not be forgotten Mr. Jeff Reed. Thanks for your rich legacy in a short amount of time.
